Did you know Bubble and Squeak has been a family favourite since the 1800’s. This is a true British Classic.
When ever i am making mashed potato i always like to make a little extra so i can make this the next day. So tasty and a great way to get the kids eating cabbage too!
Ingredients for the Bubble and Squeak:
700 g (3 cups) leftover mashed potato this doesn’t have to be exact
200 g (2-3 cups) leftover chopped cooked cabbage again this doesn’t have to be exact – I like to use savoy cabbage
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp veg oil
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
Serve with:
Grilled back bacon
Poached Egg
Chopped fresh parsley
