Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram of anchovies
  • Half a bunch of scallions
  • Half a bunch of parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon of cornmeal
  • Half a teaspoon of mint
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 capia pepper

To fry:

  • 3 eggs
  • Half a glass of cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup hazelnut or corn oil

How to make anchovy bird recipe?

Remove the anchovies’ heads and bones. Do not cut off their tails.

Wash your fish in plenty of water without breaking it.

Dry well with a paper towel.

Finely chop the green parts of the scallions.

Remove the parsley and finely chop it.

Clean the seeds of the pepper and cut the pulp into small cubes.

Chop the onion in the same size as the peppers.

Mix the chopped vegetables and greens thoroughly with corn flour, salt and spices to get a thick sauce.

Put one of the anchovies on a plate with its back down.

Spread the sauce you prepared on it and stick the other anchovy on the sauce with its back on top. The anchovies you stick together will be in the form of a flat meatball.

Beat the eggs in a deep bowl.

Roll your anchovy meatballs first with beaten eggs and then in corn flour.

Heat the oil thoroughly and fry both sides of the anchovies that you smeared with corn flour.

Serve hot as soon as you take it from the pan. Enjoy your meal…
