Mengen pilavı tarifi

Ingredients

  • 1 glass of rice
  • 250 grams of flaked meat
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 100 grams of mushrooms
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 100 grams of walnuts
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Dill
  • Salt

How is Mengen rice recipe made?

Soak the rice in warm water for 1 hour.

Melt the half of the butter in a saucepan and add the finely chopped onions and fry them until they turn pink.

Add the meat on it.

Then add the mushrooms and tomatoes and mix.

Fry it for a few minutes and add water.

Cook for about 30 minutes. (Remove the foam that has accumulated on it.)

When the meat is soft, add the rice, salt and sugar.

Cook for another 25 minutes on low heat.

Melt the rest of the butter as well.

Add thyme, black pepper, walnuts and dill and pour over the rice.

You can serve it after resting it for about 10 – 15 minutes.
